City bubble.

I think I’m out of the woods. Most of the week, I felt like I was in a “bubble of stupid.” I couldn’t quite concentrate on things, I was sneezing, overly tired, and had on and off headaches. Every little thing I did seemed to take at least twice the effort. Needless to say, I was stressed out too.

I’m still stressed out.

The marathon is in three days and at best, I can say I’m well rested.

What can I do? The tough training is over. This week is supposed to be a “shake-out” week; something to keep myself loose and confident. I’m not quite 100% today, but plan on an easy 2-3 Friday. Saturday is expo and rest day.

Sunday… well, Sunday is going to be an adventure. It’s going to be cold and windy. But if my internets research is correct, that means there will be a bit of a tailwind for the last few miles. That gives me some hope.

That’s all I have for now. I’m so glad I’m feeling better. I’ll do my final shake-out run tomorrow and hope for the best. My brother and I raised over $3500 for charity doing this asinine thing. I’m trying not to let my ego get in the way of that.

Donate if you wish independent of my venture. This is a worthwhile cause:  https://imermanangels.org/.
